Half Mile Marker

The half mile marker has reached.....a twinkling glance transends time through the days and nights....

it looks like only yesterday.....yesterday when you said good bye.....on that thursday night.....dark but serene....

remembered and still loved by many.....especially by your beloved family

we hope you are in a place where's love a plenty.....

till we all meet again.....

memories will be our companions on this journey......

RIP....

Hi Father David,

I remember it was last year when Jacob invited my sister and I to join in the WYD for this year. One of the motivations for me to go was the probability that you may be going. I delighted in that thought for I know I will gain much from you in terms of wisdom and greater love for God.

Alas, God has bigger plans. My team of 7 will be going on ahead to Sydney with no priest to guide us. Nevertheless, I pray that you whilst in Heaven, would watch over us and continue to pray for us that we may grow in knowlegde and wisdom as well as a greater love for God and neighbour.

Questions I believe, still lingered in our heads and our hearts. Likewise, I hasn't stopped asking God why.. He gave me an answer today. Seems that sometimes a person is present in our lives briefly, so that we may not take him/her for granted but treasured the memory we have of him/her forever..

May you rest in the peace and love of our Lord Jesus. Amen.

The half mile marker - it seems like a dream. I can't believe till today that my dearest brother is gone....for good. Life is short I know, we are just passing through on a journey to beyond and if along the way our lives are touched or we touch others, like my dearest brother has done, then we are indeed fortunate. My dearest brother touched thousands and we feel that everyday when someone comes up to me or my family to remember him to us and in that way we are blessed and touched forever. Thank you my dearest brother for blessing us with your brief stay with and thank you God for blessing us with him. Till we meet again Fr David. Love always, your dearest sister
