Day 4 of Wake...

Its the 4th day of the wake and we are nearing the day of the funeral.
Thank you to all the communities, friends and parishioners for coming to pay their last respects.
A big "THANK YOU" to all who donated generously, the money will be going to various charities.

Thank you once again to all who have taken time to visit the wake and pay their last respects.

In a chance moment whilst talking about Fr David returning home to be with the Lord,a song titled "Home" by Daughtry started playing, the lyrics click well with what we were talking about.

HOME by Daughtry

I'm staring out into the night,
Trying to hide the pain.
I'm going to the place where love
And feeling good don't ever cost a thing.
And the pain you feel’s a different kind of pain.

Well I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.

I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home.
Well I'm going home.

The miles are getting longer, it seems,
The closer I get to you.
I've not always been the best man or friend for you.
But your love remains true,
And I don't know why.
You always seem to give me another try.

So I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.

I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home.
I'm going home.

Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it all,
And then some you don't want.
Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it all, yeah.

Oh, well I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old.
I said these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home.
I'm going home.

Padre David, your going home is very sudden. This shows that when it's time up, not a millisec, sec, min, hour, day... can we delay.
This really hurts especially your family, close relatives and friends.
Please help and don't delay in comforting especially your family members, most important of all, your parents. Please also ask our dear Lord and sweet Mother Mary to comfort your family in the heart and in the spirit. Give them strength to carry on their daily lives without your physical presence. Let them know that in spirit you are always with them and is only a thought away. I pray that our Lord will grant this petition which will wipe away their tears and put peace within them. Amen.

Till we all meet again in our heavenly Home. May your soul rest in peace and perpetual light shine upon you. Amen

Father David..
I went to see you on last Sunday. You looked so peaceful which made me quite relieved. Even then, I still can't get over your sudden leaving. Couple of tears flew onto my cheek... I know it would be our last farewell. But your spirit will live forever. We will continue to strive to be a better christians as you always want us to be. Good bye Father David, till we meet again.
